Our property team delivers innovative and proactive legal advice for our clients in residential and commercial property transactions. Through extensive industry knowledge, experience and involvement, we provide timely and commercially orientated advice to our clients in a range of complex property transactions. Our team includes two Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialists in Property Law.
Whether it is a purchase of an englobo parcel for residential subdivision or the acquisition of a high-rise CBD building, we have both the expertise and experience to see the transaction through from concept to completion.
Retail centres are a particular focus of our property group. Our involvement with the retail property sector sees us engaged in all facets from due diligence to retail leasing. We also work with property developers from inception of the project. That might mean drafting the joint venture or development agreement, undertaking due diligence investigations on the target property, and negotiating the terms of the purchase. As the project matures, we become involved in the financial arrangements, development applications, tenure issues and the arrangements for the return from the project.
We provide planning advice to a wide spectrum of clients and are involved in development applications from concept through to construction. Our approach to planning disputes is to take advantage of the alternative dispute resolution procedures saving costs and time in the development process. Our expertise includes advice on the application process, submissions on applications, appeals and applications to the Planning & Environment Court, and advice on environmental issues for development.
