Areas of expertise

Cameron is the lead partner in the Insurance Litigation team at Mullins Lawyers.  Recognised as a specialist in the area of insurance litigation, Cameron was one of the first solicitors in Queensland to be an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries Litigation. He acts for defendants and has acted for some of the largest self-insurers in Queensland in a wide range of personal injuries actions.

Cameron's areas of expertise include workers' compensation insurance, compulsory third party (motor vehicle) insurance, public liability insurance, general insurance and general torts law.

Cameron acts for self-insured mining companies, manufacturers and local government bodies in matters involving workers compensation and injury claims. His success in this area is due to his active involvement in the rapidly changing insurance industry.

He has represented employers in coronial inquiries and has successfully defended fraudulent claims, as well as claims involving catastrophic injury. Cameron is frequently asked to present lectures to employers and his peers on aspects of personal injuries litigation, including risk management and since 2000 has been a contributing editor for LexisNexis in their Personal Injuries Queensland publication.

Cameron has honorary roles on the Queensland Law Society Personal Injuries Conference Committee (since 2004) and the Queensland Law Society Accident Compensation/ Tort Law Reform Committee (since 2011) as part of his commitment to the profession and peer education.

Cameron has also been involved with ad hoc Queensland Law Society and Lexon committees.

Cameron is a member of the Medico Legal Society and Australian Insurance Law Association.
