Andrew is a partner in the business services team. He has broad commercial experience acquired following his admission as a solicitor in 1995.
Andrew provides advice on the maximisation (commercialisation including licensing and distribution), protection and infringement of intellectual property (IP) rights, including disputes in relation to those matters. His clients range from multi-nationals, listed public companies, banks and financial institutions, entrepreneurs, small to medium enterprises, to start-ups and private individuals.
Andrew also advises on commercial and business matters (including structuring advice, particularly in relation to intellectual property (IP) protection). He acts in disputes and competition and consumer (trade practices) matters. Andrew acts in company, partnership and shareholder matters, advising as to directors' duties and compliance, as well as licensing, franchising and distribution matters.
Andrew is regularly published in academic and industry journals specific to his areas of expertise. He is also a regular presenter at industry seminars and has recently conducted an IP Master class series at various venues around the State at the request of Trade and Investment Queensland.
Andrew is a member of IPSANZ (Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand).
